Thumbs up for Dr. Beemer!
Maximus, the Mini Cooper S, was in need of an oil change and apparently Inspection I....I don't know about everyone else, but I cringe at the idea of taking any vehicle to the dealer as I think they overcharge, and under deliver. Plus, did not want to drive from Buda to the north 40 just to get an oil change and a car wash at the dealership. Brian was helpful and courteous AND able to get me in the same day. His office helper/mechanic was also very knowledgeable and helpful. He mentioned some maintenance that was going to be needing some attention in the near future, but did not try to "upsell" me on anything, even though I don't know much about vehicles and probably would've purchased whatever they were recommending anyway. Keep up the good work guys!

Drives Like a Dream
I recently had a very good experience at Dr. Beemer. I'm a member of the Austin MINI Cooper Car Club, and that's how I heard about Brian and his shop. I had been taking Erick (my MINI) to Black Forest Werkshop (I had good experiences there), but they're in North Austin (South Dallas) and I live in South Austin. Add to this that Dr. Beemer gives a 5% discount, which covers the cost of a car rental.
I called them on Monday and set an appointment for Thursday. I told Brian that there was a creaking noise when I turned the steering wheel. It turned out that my right strut mount was completely cracked. They replaced both (just to be safe) and also replaced the motor mount, which was worn out. They did a four-wheel alignment, too.
When I dropped off the rental car, my car wasn't ready, so I was given a ride to my job, which was close by. When they were finished with the work on the car, they dropped it off at my job, gave me a receipt, told me what they did, and told me that they test drove it to make sure that everything performed well (Black Forest did not test drive my car afterwards).
Erick now drives like a dream! I'd totally recommend Dr. Beemer to anyone who drives a MINI or BMW.

Mini Cooper S John Cooper Works
Dr. Beemer has worked on my Mini twice now for two seperate issues and both times they did an excellent job. They were thorough, explained the need for the repair and did the work in a timely manner. They know Mini's and have the passion for them to be the best ride you can have.

Brian, Dave, and co. at Dr. Beemer have been steps above in quality than any other place Ive been too in Austin so far, and just as importantly, are at the right price. I have an ///E36 that had a rough end of the summer, and I couldn't be more thankful for finding these guys beforehand to entrust in to get her back in shape. They are very communicative throughout all repairs including price estimation, problem research, real time status, and even after the repairs, as they seem to even care enough to make sure you are happy with the work. Albeit a rare feeling to have, its comforting to know for sure if something goes wrong with your ride, you are truly in good hands!

DR. Beemer did the 60,000 mile service on my wife's LR3 and also fixed a leaky moonroof and the breaks. The work was done fast and correctly. I would definitely recomend getting your Landrover work done at DR. Beemer.
